‘Fanny sleeping back view’ (2015) is a stunning oil on board painting of the artist’s wife, Fanny. The letterbox-style composition implies perhaps a touch of voyeurism but the lightness of touch in the description of the underside of the feet and the curve of the spine tells very much of a husband’s adoration.
